JK's JUST KIDDING VARIETY HOUR

hosted by jkjk, aka Jenny Larson and khattieQ

The Solstice and Equinox symbolize the transition of seasons, rebirth, and renewal. Let’s come together and celebrate the changing seasons as a community. Please join us for JK’s Just Kidding, a seasonal variety show featuring artists across mediums hailing from Austin and beyond.

ABOUT THE SHOW: March 20th is the Spring Equinox and we have performances by drag artist and performer Gothess Jasmine, composer Graham Reynolds, ballet dancer Alexandra Achieng Ligawa, comedian and actress Lee Eddy, and film artist Lauren Sanders aka Low Pressure Salesman. Lauren Sanders is sharing a short film created in collaboration with jkjk and German based artists Ida Daniel and Todor Stoyanov. Immediately following the performances, join us for a reception in the lobby to celebrate photographer Minerva Villa and their current photography exhibit Chromatic Bliss.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:  Lauren Sanders (they/she), also known for creating music as Low Pressure Salesman, has 20 years of experience in narrative and documentary filmmaking. Their collaborations have been represented at the Sundance, SXSW and DIFF film festivals. Lauren is based in Austin, TX and is currently directing their first feature documentary. German based artist Ida Daniel is active in writing, performance and choreography, working as a dramaturg, performer, curator and author of texts. German based artist Todor Stoyanov is freelance and works as a new media expert and programmer in the fields of theatre and music.
